05.10.2026
On September 8-10, 2026, the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz took place, organized by the Institute for Eastern Studies. The motto of this year’s edition was “Architecture of a New Order – Stability in Times of Change”. The Forum is the largest economic conference in this part of Europe – this year alone, it was visited by over 6,500 participants from more than 50 countries, including representatives of business, politics, and local governments. The XTB Foundation was represented by its President, Sylwia Kozoń.
The main goal of this year’s edition of the Economic Forum in Karpacz was to create a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue and to develop solutions and mechanisms ensuring economic stability, resilience, and security in the face of profound geopolitical changes in the world. During the three days, over 500 events took place, including plenary and special sessions, panel discussions, debates, special events, author meetings, report presentations, press briefings, galas, and concerts.1
The XTB Foundation was actively present at the event. Sylwia Kozoń, President of the XTB Foundation, spoke twice: in the talk “Don’t Hoard – Invest!” and in the debate “Corporate Foundations – How They Change the Reality Around Us?”.
The talk “Don’t Hoard – Invest!” was hosted by Bartosz Majewski, Director of the SGH Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer. It focused on the fundamentals of personal finance management and consciously entering the world of investing.
Very often I encounter the opinion that people don’t know where to start with ‘financial management’. The truth is, there are no shortcuts there. First, you need to review your budget, build an emergency fund for unforeseen expenses, and a financial cushion. It is assumed to be equivalent to 3-6 months of living expenses – great if for a year. This is money in case of losing a stable source of income or job. Only once we have that prepared can we enter the world of investing.
– says Sylwia Kozoń, President of the XTB Foundation.
During the panel titled “Don’t hoard – invest!”, moderated by Bartosz Majewski (Director of the CPTT In turn, during the debate “Corporate Foundations – How They Change the Reality Around Us?”, panelists presented their perspective on how to operate and select areas of activity so that the assistance provided actually changes the lives of beneficiaries and is measurable. The conversation also touched upon how cooperation between corporate foundations, other NGOs, and business enables scaling this assistance.
The presence of the President of the XTB Foundation at the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz aligns with the implementation of the statutory objectives of the organization established by the Polish fintech in 2020. The XTB Foundation is focused on raising awareness and knowledge about finance and economics, among others through programs aimed at youth.
