Concerned about the health and well-being of employees, the XTB Foundation once again organized preventive examinations at the XTB office in Warsaw as part of the Pink October and Movember campaigns. During the two-day campaign, 299 screening tests were performed, most commonly thyroid ultrasounds, as well as breast and testicular ultrasounds. The high turnout confirmed the responsible and conscious approach of employees to health. The convenient location, lack of additional formalities, and availability of tests also contributed to the success of the campaign.
The involvement of the male part of the XTB community is particularly encouraging, because despite a noticeable increase in health awareness among men, the number of preventive examinations performed remains significantly lower than among women. Statistics show that women are much more likely to undergo regular check-ups. In 2024 (January-October) women had breast ultrasounds 12.5 times more often than men had testicular ultrasounds. This disparity points to the need for further education of men in the field of preventive healthcare, especially in the context of cancer 1.
XTB’s activities are part of a long-term approach to employee well-being in line with the current ESG strategy. In the last quarter of the year, we also organized flu vaccinations and first aid training. Regular prevention, health education and access to screening are the foundation of XTB’s organizational culture, based on care and responsibility.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the organized activities – their attitude is an example of pro-health commitment. Our employees also have year-round access to a medical package co-financed by XTB, which provides quick and convenient access to private healthcare (medical consultations, diagnostic and specialist examinations) without having to wait in public healthcare queues.
