October at XTB was marked by “Security Month” – an initiative that is part of a global movement to raise awareness of cyber threats. Our internal edition focused on educating employees and reinforcing everyday habits that translate into security for the entire organization. Throughout the month, we conducted training sessions, presentations, activities and communication with one common goal: to build a strong security culture.
The XTB security team was responsible for preparing this year’s edition, with the active support of Security Champions – security ambassadors at XTB. It was collaboration that made it possible to plan a variety of activities and implement and promote them effectively. Together, we ensure that the topic of security is present in the daily work of every team.
As part of Security Month, a wide range of activities were prepared with the aim of educating, increasing engagement, and strengthening employee awareness of cyber threats. All this was done to build a strong security culture throughout the organization.
The activities included among others:
- threat simulation through the distribution of specially prepared USB flash drives,
- security riddles and puzzles to develop critical thinking,
- weekly cybersecurity quizzes,
- mandatory training to reinforce key fundamentals,
- live webinars with the opportunity to ask experts questions,
- visual materials and messages displayed in the office space,
- company-wide phishing simulation to test our vigilance.
The high level of employee engagement in the planned activities showed that at XTB we are building an increasingly aware and secure working environment.
“The world of technology is accelerating every month, but one thing remains key – an aware employee. That is why continuous education and good habits are our best shield.”
– comments Filip Dzwonek, IT Security Specialist
For us, Security Month is not just a one-off initiative, but part of a broader strategy to build cyber resilience. We would like to thank all employees for their activity and commitment – thanks to our joint efforts, we are strengthening the security of us all.
