On March 22, 2026, the 20th anniversary edition of one of Poland’s largest running events – the Warsaw Half Marathon and 5K Run took place. During this year’s race, the XTB Running Team also took to the course, consisting of several dozen company employees who had been training for weeks to complete two distances – 21.097 km and 5 km through the streets of Warsaw.
The first event of this kind was the Praga 5K, which took place in September 2025. Participation in that event proved to be a great success, so in response to numerous requests from our employees, the company decided to get involved in a similar initiative once again. In light of the growing interest and commitment to training, XTB wants group running to become a company tradition
My participation in this year’s New Balance 5K Run had a personal significance. It was a chance to test my limits, and it was also a great joy to be able to run side by side with my colleagues from XTB. Thanks to the cheering and familiar faces, I gained extra energy, which allowed me to cross the finish line with full commitment. I’m looking forward to the next events!

Participation in sporting events is part of XTB’s broader approach to employee wellbeing. For years, the company has promoted physical activity, team integration, and the pursuit of passions outside the workplace. Joint training sessions and participation in races help build relationships among employees and strengthen the spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
The Warsaw Half Marathon attracts thousands of runners from Poland and abroad every year. Approximately 25,000 participants took part in the event’s anniversary edition, including several dozen XTB employees competing in the Half Marathon and the 5K Run. The route wound through Warsaw’s most important streets, allowing participants to experience the capital from a unique perspective. Runners were also greeted by numerous cheering zones and a special, athletic atmosphere that draws crowds of Warsaw residents every year.
“Our employees’ participation in sporting events shows how important physical activity and spending time together outside the office are to them. We’re delighted that initiatives like group runs build positive energy within the team, strengthen relationships, and foster healthy competition. It’s also a perfect example of how sports can support an organizational culture based on collaboration and mutual motivation. Personally, I ran with XTB once again and I feel great about it. Words cannot describe the atmosphere and determination to reach the finish line in the company of people I know mainly from the professional sphere on a daily basis. I think the character traits that make us such a great and ambitious team at work also translate into these types of sporting events. I’m incredibly happy that I can pursue my hobby while representing XTB – here’s to more initiatives like this!”
– comments Sylwia Kozoń, President of the XTB Foundation
Participating in the event provides XTB with an excellent opportunity to celebrate sports together, boost employee motivation, and foster a positive team atmosphere. At the same time, such initiatives are part of the company’s corporate social responsibility efforts and ESG strategy, which place particular emphasis on supporting employee health and well-being. As a result, such initiatives not only bring the team together but also strengthen an organizational culture based on collaboration, a healthy lifestyle, commitment, and perseverance. These values are central not only to the world of sports but also to financial markets, where consistency and determination play a key role.
