Students also learned about common investing mistakes and educational resources to deepen their knowledge. The sessions, led by Michał Stajniak, Jakub Oklesiński, and Bogumił Jeżewski, addressed practical student questions regarding pocket money management, personal investment experiences, and recommended books and online educational channels.

In the XTB offices in Santiago, Dubai, and Madrid, employees took part in educational activities that highlighted the importance of regular screenings and early cancer detection. As a sign of solidarity with those affected by the disease, some team members joined the initiative by wearing pink.

In 2024 we celebrated 20th anniversary of XTB! Over two decades of dynamic growth, Polish FinTech has become one of the leaders in the investment industry and represent a brand known all over the world. On this occasion, we look back at the key moments in the company’s history and its achievements.

We began our operations in 2004 as X-Trade Brokers and a year later, we obtained our first KNF license to provide brokerage services. In 2007, we opened our first international branch in the Czech Republic and our employment grew from 11 to 45 people. In the following years, we opened international branches in Slovakia, Spain, Romania, Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Cyprus and a subsidiary X Open Hub in Poland. In 2013, we created our first proprietary platform xStation3, which was updated to a newer version xStation5 three years later.

In 2017, we opened our first non-European offices in Chile and Belize and four years later, we obtained licenses to operate in Dubai and South Africa. In subsequent years, we opened additional branches in Cyprus, Seychelles and Indonesia. Today, XTB S.A. is one of the largest publicly traded Forex and CFD brokers. In 2024, the number of our clients exceeded 1 million, with growing employment of over a thousand people from around the world.

The 20th anniversary of XTB was celebrated on September 4, 2024, in Warsaw. The event was attended by 600 employees and collaborators from various international locations.

On July 23rd this year the XTB Group presented its newly updated ESG Strategy for 2024-2027. As part of the Strategy, XTB’s Mission and Vision were updated to integrate sustainable development, and a strategic time horizon was added.

The document outlines the company’s new Mission and Vision, strategic directions, and objectives in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas, as well as the time horizon for implementing these activities.

In recent years, the XTB Group has expanded its operations into new markets and implemented processes related to ESG. The first ESG Strategy was introduced in 2021 to organize activities and identify key elements in this area. The 2024 strategy update aimed to link these efforts with the achievement of business goals and to reflect changes in the regulatory and market environment.

Key elements of the ESG Strategy 2024–2027:

  • Mission and Vision – updated to incorporate aspects of sustainable development.
  • Double Materiality Assessment – the strategy is partly based on the results of the 2024 assessment, which included surveys and interviews with selected XTB stakeholders.
  • Goals and Milestones – defined across three areas: environmental, social and governance, with measurable performance indicators.

The strategy aims to ensure alignment between ESG initiatives and XTB’s day-to-day business operations, as well as systematic monitoring of progress in these areas.

We invite you to review the updated ESG Strategy for 2024-2027

In mid-2024, the internal educational program “Natural Investment” was updated and its implementation extended to all employees across all XTB S.A. offices and subsidiaries.

The program aims to provide information and guidance on office work organization and resource management practices. It is educational in nature and is not presented as an indicator of the company’s environmental impact or as a tool for assessing ESG strategy implementation.

Examples of measures introduced at XTB’s Warsaw Headquarters include:

  • Signage at light switches, kitchens, and printers – intended to remind employees about responsible use of office equipment and resources.
  • Containers for used batteries in kitchens – enabling employees to dispose of batteries in designated collection points for proper recycling.

In June 2024, the XTB Foundation conducted a trial lesson as part of preparations for the educational program “Academy of Tomorrow: Finance with Class” at the XTB S.A. headquarters in Warsaw.

The largest conference room in the office was temporarily transformed into a classroom, where teenage children of XTB employees were invited. The purpose of the trial lesson was to test the materials and lesson plans prepared by XTB experts in cooperation with the Trampki na Giełdzie Foundation. The program aims to introduce young people to basic financial concepts, build awareness of money management and answer questions related to investing and financial literacy.

During several hours of activities, 30 participants completed educational exercises and engaged in discussions with the instructors. The participants also proposed the name of the program: “Academy of Tomorrow: Finance with Class.” The first edition of the program is planned for October 2024 and will involve approximately 100 classes in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. Applications for the program are accepted until the end of September 2024.
