XTB S.A. received an award from the WPROST weekly magazine as the Best Employer in the “Finance” category. The statuette was presented during a ceremonial gala to Monika Charytonik, HR Director at XTB S.A., who discussed the specifics of working at the company, current recruitment needs, and organizational initiatives supporting work–life balance.

XTB S.A. is a Polish brokerage house operating for over 20 years, providing clients with access to financial instruments listed on major global exchanges through the xStation platform. During the WPROST Polish Business Gala on June 12, the company was recognized in the Polish 200 ranking, which lists the 200 largest Polish companies, receiving the title of Best Employer in the financial sector.

The award was accepted on behalf of XTB S.A. by Monika Charytonik, HR Director at XTB S.A., who commented on the award:

Thank you for recognizing our efforts in creating a friendly workplace where we build the technological future of finance. I also want to thank all our employees, as their dedication, passion and professionalism are the foundation of XTB’s success.

– Monika Charytonik, HR Director at XTB S.A., commented.

In 2024, XTB once again took part in the #2h4family campaign – a global social movement promoting a 2-hour reduction in the workday to allow employees to spend additional time with their families.

This year, the initiative involved XTB Headquarters and, for the first time, all company branches. Most locations held the event on May 29, 2024, while a few branches chose May 31 or June 7.

As a continuation of the #2h4family initiative, in June XTB organized a Children’s Day at the Warsaw Headquarters, during which employees’ children were invited to the office to participate in educational activities and workshops held on that day.

Over a hundred young participants enjoyed a variety of activities, including chess workshops, polymer clay crafts, animations and eco-friendly bag painting and kite-making workshops. In the environment-focused segment, children could symbolically “plant” a tree by painting it on paper and pinning it to a corkboard. As part of this activity, XTB financed the actual planting of trees. Older children also had the opportunity to participate in programming workshops.

April 22 is celebrated worldwide as Earth Day, an occasion to raise awareness of environmental protection issues. XTB also took part in a local volunteer initiative, engaging employees in outdoor activities.

On Friday, April 19, XTB volunteers participated in cleaning up Kabacki Forest. Despite variable weather conditions, participants collected litter left in the reserve, using bags provided by the City Forests.

After the clean-up, participants were able to relax by a campfire, and a raffle of small gifts, such as caps, first aid kits, and bags, was held as a token of appreciation.

Employee participation was voluntary, and the initiative was one of many volunteer activities carried out by the company. The scale and lasting impact of the clean-up efforts depend on ongoing maintenance of the area and the repetition of similar actions in the future.

World Health Day is a time to emphasize the value of preventive actions. On this occasion, for the first time in 2024, we organized health check-ups for interested employees in Warsaw, thus initiating a cyclical event that we plan to repeat every year.

On April 8th, employees of XTB headquarters in Warsaw celebrated Health Day at XTB. Smarter Diagnostics brought devices to our office that analyze body composition and determine biological age, measure neuromuscular control using a stability test on a stabilographic platform and perform a jump test on a dynamometric platform.

We had the opportunity to discuss the results from each device with a 10-person team of dietitians and physiotherapists present in the office. The initiative was well received, with nearly 160 employees participating in the tests.

In March, XTB carried out initiatives related to employee sports activities. The company has sports teams, including basketball and football teams, as well as a running group that participates in sporting events.

As part of these activities, a webinar for employees titled “How to Run Effectively?” was organized, covering basic running training concepts.

Additionally, within the internal “Inner Power” workshops, activities such as a table tennis tournament and a chess tournament were held. The creation of a badminton-focused group is also being considered.

At XTB, a series of internal workshops titled “Inner Power” has been launched, aimed at employees interested in sharing their knowledge and skills across various areas. The initiative takes the form of meetings during which participants can present their interests and lead workshops for other employees.

The series began at the start of the year and consists of voluntary events. The workshops are organized by XTB employees and take the form of integrative and educational sessions.

The first “Inner Power” session was led by Małgorzata Klimkiewicz, a designer at XTB, who conducted an arts & crafts workshop focused on creating items from polymer plaster.

Participation in the initiative is open to XTB employees and collaborators.

In January 2024, the XTB Group conducted the tenth edition of its “Employee Satisfaction Survey.” The survey was anonymous and available to all employees.

A total of 556 people participated in the survey, representing 54% of employees. Compared to the previous edition, the number of respondents increased by 45.5%. The highest number of responses came from the Headquarters in Poland, as well as from the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, and Portugal.

The survey covered areas such as learning and development, motivation, communication, work environment, the ability to perform job responsibilities, management and team relationships.

The highest ratings were recorded in areas related to collaboration, relationships, and working conditions. In terms of communication, 93% of respondents reported good team relationships. 85% indicated they have the resources needed to perform their work and 80% reported having the opportunity to implement their own ideas. Additionally, 87% of respondents declared they would recommend XTB as a place to work.

Training and development were identified as areas requiring further improvement.

XTB once again took part in the Szlachetna Paczka initiative. As part of the program, support was provided to a selected family by preparing packages tailored to their identified needs.

During the so-called “Weekend of Miracles,” 31 packages and a refrigerator were delivered. The scope of support was determined based on information provided by the initiative’s organizer.

Employees were able to contribute voluntarily by making donations, purchasing specified items or providing financial contributions to a joint collection.

In October 2023, XTB employees took part in volunteer activities carried out in cooperation with the Las na Zawsze Foundation. As part of the initiative, trees were planted in the Podlaskie region, in the village of Mieleszkowce Pawłowickie, near the border crossing in Kuźnica.

More than 40 employee volunteers participated in the activities. With the support of Foundation representatives, 2,300 trees were planted over an area of approximately 1,200 m².

Before the work began, an introductory session was conducted, covering basic information on tree planting and their maintenance.
